BRIEF BACKGROUND OF HONORARY CONSUL

Mr. Michail D. Kokkinis was appointed Honorary Consul of the Republic of Poland in 1993 and in 1995 was decorated with the Golden Cross of the Republic of Poland for his general contribution.

He was born in Andros in 1946 and graduated from Nautical School of Andros. Has studied Business Economics and Shipping in Greece and in London and has been in the Shipping business since 1972. He is married and has three children.

Since 1980 he has been involved in the shipbroking business and is now the Managing Director of GOLDEN DESTINY, a Shipping and Shipbroking establishment based in Piraeus since 1994, which is one of the most active in its sector worldwide.

Mr. Kokkinis has been an active member and supporter of various Associations and Clubs such as the Hellenic Shipbrokers Association where since 1987 he was in the Board of Directors and from March 1989 till March 1991 was elected President, the Propeller Club, the Piraeus Marine Club, the Yacht Club of Greece, the Hellenic Nautical Museum, the Andros Yacht Club, where he was initially in the Board of Directors and was elected President of the Club from 2005 till 2009.
